Good morning. Today is the 302nd day of the year. It is the birth anniversary (1859) of Charles Ebbets, owner of the Brooklyn Dodgers during the early 20th century. He sold 50 percent of the team to build Ebbets Field, which opened in 1913.
Well-known people who were born today include author Robert Caro (The Power Broker), actor Ed Lauter, actor Kevin Pollak, news correspondent Andrea Mitchell and singer Grace Slick of Jefferson Airplane.
