2 Charged in Decade-Old Murder of Brooklyn Man
by Associated Press (), published online 08-31-2009

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) — A Virginia meatpacking plant worker and an eastern Pennsylvania prison inmate have been charged with killing a New York man 11 years ago in Allentown.

Lehigh County authorities say 29-year-old Andy Lovell Reese, of Ahoskie, N.C., and 31-year-old Paul Sean Jones are charged in the June 1998 shooting death of 22-year-old Maurice Williams, of Brooklyn. District Attorney James Martin said Friday that Reese and Jones have been charged with one count each of homicide and conspiracy.

Reese was charged Thursday in Smithfield, Va., and is awaiting extradition. Jones, formerly of Allentown, was arrested Friday. He has been in Lehigh County Prison on unrelated charges of receiving stolen property and a firearms count. Both remain in custody and it was unclear whether they have attorneys.
