by Brooklyn Eagle (edit@brooklyneagle.net), published online 08-24-2007

Site Directly Across From Major Development Site

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — As reported on GlobalSt.com yesterday, a parking lot at 430 Albee Square in Downtown Brooklyn is on the market.

Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services of Brooklyn has the exclusive listing for the 5,011-square-foot parcel of land with an asking price of $10.8 million. J.D. Parker, regional manager of the Brooklyn office, told GlobeSt.com that the buildable square footage on the site is approximately 60,132 square feet.

Reached yesterday, Will Kiersky, an investment specialist in the Brooklyn office, confirmed the report. He and investment specialist Jon Taubes are representing the seller.

Located at 430 Albee Square W., also known as 430 Gold St., the lot is 43.8 feet by 115.5 feet and contains a small structure. It is directly across the street from the proposed Albee Square Mall redevelopment.

Taubes told GlobeSt.com, “This is an excellent opportunity for an investor to acquire property in a prime Downtown Brooklyn location.”

Taubes also said the property will be delivered vacant at the time of the closing.
