Demolition work has already begun on the parking garage of The Gallery at Fulton Mall to make way for the mammoth new high-rise development — including retail, office and residential — planned for the site.
This view is from Willoughby Street and Albee Square (aka Gold Street) looking southeast. The developers, who acquired the development rights from Thor Equities earlier this year, are Acadia Realty Trust, P/A Associates and MacFarlane Partners. A check of Department of Buildings records reveals that a permit has been issued for a partial demolition on the second, third, fourth and rooftop parking levels filed by Greenberg Farrow Architects. No building permit applications have been filed as yet.
