Six Brooklyn residential developments have been selected to be in the Observer Living: Condo Showcase set for Sunday, Sept. 21, at the Metropolitan Pavillion in Manhattan.
The six are Forté, Toren, 80 Metropolitan, The Edge, Northside Piers and The Viridian.
Following the eventâs successful debut last spring, the New York Observer reports that it will be holding a larger, even more spectacular marketplace for those looking for homes as well as the residential brokers they are working with and project developers.
More than 3,000 potential homebuyers are expected to attend and, as before, the exhibition space will be organized to reflect the geographical layout of the properties. Attendees will be able to explore developments by walking from âLower Manhattanâ to the âUpper East Sideâ and âacross the Brooklyn Bridgeâ to Brooklyn â all without ever having to leave the building.
The six Brooklyn properties will be among 50 featured â offering a full mix of residences with different price points and varying styles.
âWhen you put a lot of product in front of people, it makes it easier for them to take a look at what is on the market,â said Andy Gerringer, managing director of Prudential Douglas Ellimanâs Development Marketing Group, which is very active in Brooklyn development. âIt may even open up their eyes to places they wouldnât have known were available.â
BFC partner Don Cappocia, a developer, said he was returning to the showcase because âsales resulted from the event, and hundreds of people that wouldnât have had Toren on their radar were introduced to this prime Brooklyn building.â
The showcase will be open from 12:30 to 6 p.m. and will feature a special brokers-only preview from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Ticket prices for those who register online at www.observerliving.com are $10 and include a free eight-week subscription to the New York Observer. Admission price at the door is $20. All proceeds will go to Bailey House, a housing resource program for the homeless suffering from HIV/AIDS.
The event is supported by the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), and Reba Miller, president of RP Miller & Associates, serves as a consultant.
