Construction on Avalon Fort Greene, a project of AvalonBay Communities, a developer of luxury rental communities, is moving right along, undeterred by the current economy. The $250 million, 41-story mixed-use tower at Myrtle Avenue, Gold Street and Flatbush Avenue Extension, will include 628 rental units, a below-grade parking garage and 5,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space.
