Dock Street Dumbo Project Moves to Borough Hall
by Brooklyn Eagle (edit@brooklyneagle.net), published online 01-26-2009

The controversial Dock Street Project, a mixed-use development adjacent to the Brooklyn Bridge, heads to Brooklyn Borough Hall in Downtown Brooklyn for review by the Borough President Marty Markowitz.

It has already received Community Board 2 approval.

The public hearing, part of the approval process known as ULURP (Uniform Land Use Review Procedure), is scheduled from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, in the Borough Hall Courtroom, second floor, 209 Joralemon St.

The application by Two Trees Management Co. is for a zoning map and text amendment and two special permits that will allow for the development of the proposed building which will contain residential units, retail and a middle school.

For a detailed description of the ULURP applications, please contact Kevin Parris, land use coordinator for the BP, at (718) 802-3856.
