Local Caribbean-American Icons To Be Honored
In recognition of National Caribbean-American Heritage Month, an “Economic Development Power Networking Brunch” is planned by the Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (CACCI), with the support of Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, on Wednesday, June 24, at Borough Hall.
The event will honor the following Caribbean American icons:
• Ambassador Dr. Lamuel Stanislaus, Ambassador-at-Large and Deputy United Nations Envoy to Grenada;
• Honorable Sylvia O. Hinds-Radix, administrative judge for civil matters for the Second Judicial District;
• Slinger “The Mighty Sparrow” Francisco, aka “The Calypso King of the World”; and
• Faye A. Rodney, president of New York Carib News.
Markowitz and Dr. Roy A. Hastick, Sr., CACCI president and CEO, will host the meeting, which takes place beginning at 11 a.m. Brooklyn Borough Hall is at 209 Joralemon St., Downtown Brooklyn
