by Brooklyn Eagle (edit@brooklyneagle.net), published online 12-14-2009

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — Longtime Cobble Hill resident Catherine Zito has joined Brown Harris Stevens Brooklyn, it was announced last week.

One of the borough’s foremost residential real estate brokers for the past eight years, Zito recently made the decision to merge her company, Property Scouts, with Brown Harris Stevens. She and will work out of its office on Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights, according to Hall F. Willkie, president of Brown Harris Stevens.

“Catherine brings an outstanding knowledge of the Brooklyn residential real estate market to the Brooklyn Heights office,” said Willkie, who added, “She is so respected in the industry because she is well-versed in every aspect of real estate sales — buying, selling and renovating.”

Prior to her career in real estate, she spent more than 10 years in the field of advertising on the creative side.

The mother of two, she was raised in Southern California and attended the Parsons School of Design in New York.
