BROOKLYN HEIGHTS— Massey Knakal Realty Services honored two Brooklyn brokers at its annual award ceremony on Jan. 27. The event, held this year at the Brooklyn office in Brooklyn Heights and honored “some of the finest” in the firm.

The Brooklyn honorees are:

• Brian Hanson, first vice president of sales in Brooklyn, received the “Seventh Annual Michael Fuchs and Aby Rosen PIER Award,” representing overall values.

PIER Awards represent Massey Knakal’s values of Passion, Integrity, Excellence and Responsibility, according to Robert Knakal, founding partner.

“PIER, by definition, is a platform, a solid supporting structure; it is supported by pillars and members; it’s a path that provides access,” Knakal said.

• Stephen Palmese, also a first vice president of sales in the Brooklyn office, received the “Seventh Annual Stephen B. Siegel Salesperson of the Year Award,” for his achievements in the past year.

Additionally, Shannon Krause, public relations coordinator for the company in its Manhattan office and the one who keeps the Brooklyn Eagle informed, was the recipient of the “Sixth Annual James Ventura Award for the Unsung Hero.”

The award honors those whose “efforts and accomplishments have gone above and beyond the call of duty, according to Knakal.
