Business Talk:
Park Slope Civic Council Kicks Off ā€˜Buy in Brooklyn — Shop Park Slope’ Campaign
by Brooklyn Eagle (edit@brooklyneagle.net), published online 11-09-2007

Park Slope business owners and managers are encouraged to attend the launch of a ā€œBuy in Brooklyn — Shop Local Park Slopeā€ campaign next week.

On the event agenda will be a presentation on the campaign and details on how to get involved, how to educate others about shopping locally and how to promote business-to-business mutual support and consumer awareness of local options.

States the Park Slope Civic Council’s initiative: ā€œRecognizing that our local economy is a precious entity that has everything to do with the character, health and richness of our neighborhood home.ā€

The launch party will begin at 8 p.m. The Community Bookstore is at 143 7th Ave., between Carroll and Garfield streets in Park Slope.

Local elected officials have been invited to attend.
