This past Saturday, police responded to a call of a man shot at 216 Hoyt St., Brooklyn. Upon arrival, the officers found two men shot. The first, later identified as James Sykes, 26, of East 169th Street, the Bronx, was taken to Lutheran Medical center, where he was pronounced dead. The second, an unidentified African-American man age 31, was taken to Long Island College Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition. Police are still investigating the situation.
