Using a digital theodolite, a surveyor measures the intersection at Montague and Henry Streets for the construction of traffic-calming installations long projected by the Department of Transportation. These include bumps to slow traffic and necks and draw-downs to increase pedestrian safety. The DOT is scheduled to survey 60 Brooklyn intersections by the end of this year.
