by Brooklyn Eagle (edit@brooklyneagle.net), published online 07-31-2009

Brooklyn’s ‘Night Out Against Crime’ Complemented With Law Dept. Lawyers

BROOKLYN — Tomorrow, as part of National Night Out Against Crime, attorneys from the New York City Law Department’s Family Court Division will be at three precincts in Brooklyn with information on how to talk to your children about the dangers of gangs, drugs and guns; what to do if you are the victim of a crime; and what the law department can do to help stop the violence in our schools and make our communities safer.

“Our attorneys also do presentations for schools, and anyone can call us (212) 788-0400) to request a presentation,” stated the city’s law department.

Tomorrow, New York Law Department attorneys will be at the following precincts:

•76th Pct. — Red Hook, Coffee Park (across from Red Hook Justice Center, 88 Visitation Place), 2 - 6pm

•78th precinct event — Park Slope (at Flatbush Avenue, near the arch entrance of Prospect Park), 6 - 9pm

•84th Pct. — Downtown Brooklyn, Borough Hall (located at Court and Joralemon streets), 6- 9pm
