Hervé Tullet, the best-selling author and illustrator of “Press Here,” took his imagination off the page and into the main hall of Brooklyn Public Library.

On Sunday, Tullet joined 200 of Brooklyn’s fledgling artists and readers to paint a lively and colorful mural. The event not only coincided with the release of Tullet’s new book, “Mix it Up,” but also with the only exhibition of his work in the United States this year— now on view through Feb. 1, 2015 at Brooklyn Public Library’s Central Library at Grand Army Plaza.

Tullet’s playful style and unique use of color have earned his children’s books a spot on the bestseller list for more than 150 weeks, and have garnered him acclaim across the globe.  His work not only engages children with images on the page, but also with the physical feel of books— making him a favorite for young readers.
