NYRP/BAM to present immersive dance performance
On July 17 and 18, Arts in the Gardens — a series by New York Restoration Project (NYRP) and Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) — will present a two-night run of The Dance Cartel’s “Wet Clutch.”
Known for pushing boundaries and defying expectations of traditional dance performance, The Dance Cartel explores female imagery and pop culture icons of the past 50 years with this immersive performance experience and video mash-up.
After a similar limited engagement at La MaMa this May, “Wet Clutch” comes to the Jane Bailey Memorial Garden (327 Greene Ave.) in order to bring a unique brand of explosive public dance experience to an outdoor stage.
