Brooklyn DA candidates prefer L&B Pizza; four of six admit to having smoked weed
Lightning round during DA debate lightens mood
For a group of six candidates who all lean progressive, there certainly were a lot of tense situations during Tuesday night’s debate between the group of candidates for district attorney in Brooklyn. However, half of candidates agreed that L&B Spumoni Gardens has the best in the borough.
It was a tense debate and midway through NY1’s Errol Louis, who moderated the event with Jeanine Ramirez and Juan Manuel Benitez, tried to ease the tensions with a “lightning round” that featured less serious questions.
Candidates were asked things like, do they use mass transit? All of the candidates — Acting DA Eric Gonzalez, Ama Dwimoh, Anne Swern, Councilmember Vincent Gentile, Marc Fliedner and Patricia Gatling — said that they at least occasionally use the subway.
