Alleged twin killers plead not guilty to killing roommate with hammer
Twin brothers from Mill Basin pleaded not guilty in Brooklyn Supreme Court on Thursday to various charges for allegedly killing their roommate with a hammer and ditching his body in Jamaica Bay, mob style with cinder blocks weighing him down.
Louis and Vincent Iacono, both 36, were busted on the run in Henry County, Indiana for tailgating. After a 12-mile high-speed chase, local police found three hammers in their trunk that tested positive for blood, according to court documents. The pair was later extradited to Brooklyn.
Inside their home on East 64th Street, Louis Iacono allegedly fatally struck the son of Gambino crime family associate Carmine Carini, 35, in the head with a hammer, sometime between Aug. 30 and Aug. 31.
