Brooklyn Women’s Bar Association raises money, collects toys for charity at holiday party
The Brooklyn Women’s Bar Association hosted its annual holiday party in Brooklyn Heights last Thursday where it held an auction to raise money for charity and collected toys that were donated to victims of domestic violence.
“This is such a great holiday tradition to welcome all of our members to this party,” said Michele Mirman, president of the Brooklyn Women’s Bar Association (BWBA). “This is going to be our 100th year as an incorporated bar, and I think that so far this was our best turnout ever for our annual holiday party.”
Radio personality Sid Rosenberg was on hand for the event to help with the charity auction. Proceeds will go toward Good Shepherd Services’ Safe at Home project, which helps that victims of domestic violence. The toys from the toy drive were also donated to Safe at Home.
