A man caught in an alleged Crown Heights hit-and-run attempt, busted for having a handgun at the scene, was arraigned in Brooklyn’s federal court on Friday for gun possession, court officials said.

Robert St. Hilaire appeared before Judge Leo Glasser after he was indicted for being found carrying a handgun when leaving the scene of a Nov. 24 car accident.

When a pair of NYPD officers appeared at Schenectady Avenue and President Street, the scene showed a Honda Accord had hit the driver side of a Chevy Impala. The Honda was believed to had been driven by St. Hilaire, according to court documents.

The cops chased after the suspect who was stumbling away when a bystander pointed him out on the run. Upon his capture, they found a 9mm semi-automatic handgun in the pocket of his varsity-style jacket.

The gun was manufactured outside of New York, court documents showed.

With an influx of illegal firearms transported to the city from states with laxer gun laws, there were 276 shooting incidents in Brooklyn this year, according to NYPD crime stats. From the shootings, there were 329 victims.

Glasser ordered him held without bail at his arraignment to return to court on Feb. 1, 2018, court officials said.

St. Hilaire also holds a July 8, 2015 drug dealing conviction from Brooklyn Supreme Court.
