Good morning. Today is the 167th day of the year. The front page of the Brooklyn Daily Eagle for June 15, 1902, contained a large ad for Abraham & Straus (now Macy’s) on Fulton Street. Did you know that A&S once had a candy store? The ad calls attention to “the best ice creams, ices and frappes in town.”

Well-known people who were born today include actress Courteney Cox (“Friends”), actor Jim Belushi (“Saturday Night Live”), Hall of Fame baseball player Wade Boggs, actress Julie Hagerty (“Airplane!), actress Helen Hunt (“As Good As It Gets,” “Then She Found Me”) and Brooklyn-born actress Leah Remini (“The King of Queens”).
