Narrows Community Theater presents the Gershwin musical “Crazy For You”
Michael Santora as Bobby Child and Nicole Davey as Polly Baker star in Narrows Community Theater’s production of the Gershwin musical, Crazy for You. Tia James as Tess, Hilary Goldman as Irene, Yaron Urbas as Lank, and Dalles Wilie as Bela Zangler. Music and Lyrics by George and Ira Gershwin and book by Ken Ludwig. Performances begin Nov.9-Nov.18, times and location to be announced.
Directed by Drama League Musical Theater Award winner Swaine Kaui. Music Direction by Andy Roninson, and Choreography by David Paul Kidder. Production and Design by Aaron Porter (lights), Angela Borst (costumes), Anthony Difolco (hair and makeup), Michael Vitucci (scenic), Marialana Ardolino (stage manager), Andrew Mayer (combat), and produced by Margaret McMahon.
Crazy for You is the story of Bobby Child, a well-to-do 1930’s playboy, whose dream in life is to dance. Despite the serious efforts of his mother and soon-to-be-ex-fiancée, Bobby achieves his dream! Memorable Gershwin tunes include I Can’t Be Bothered Now, Bidin’ My Time, I Got Rhythm, Naughty Baby, They Can’t Take That Away from Me, But Not for Me, Nice Work if You Can Get It, Embraceable You and Someone to Watch Over Me. It’s a high energy comedy which includes mistaken identity, plot twists, fabulous dance numbers and classic Gershwin music.
