Love is a many-splendored thing. Especially when it involves chocolate – and strawberries.

Nothing says Valentine’s Day like a gift of the succulent heart-shaped berries (nice work, Mother Nature) coated in the best treat in the universe.

At Charles Arnone’s Bay Ridge shop Choc Oh Lot Plus, the strawberry-dipping is done on the Big Day itself, so the finished product will be super fresh. Cupid wouldn’t want it any other way.

“It’s a 35-year tradition,” said Arnone, whose Fifth Avenue shop has been in business since 1979.

Charles Arnone, posing seen here with his mom Sandra, got 15 cases of berries for Cupid’s favorite day.
He got to his store at 6 a.m. Friday to do his dipping in the kitchen in the back of the shop.

Back in the kitchen, the berries are cooling before the box lids come down.

Heart-shaped berries in a heart-shaped box for $21.99.
“We go by the pound – but give a little bit extra,” Sandra said.
