After renovation and enlargement, this Mill Basin house sells for an additional $1 million

There’s eye candy on Mill Basin’s inland streets.

When we visited the neighborhood recently, we noticed an abundance of charming houses that aren’t located right on the shoreline.

One that caught our eye, 390 Mayfair Drive South, is a modern white-stucco home that reminded us of South Florida. Such nostalgia for the Sunshine State.

The house at 202 Mayfair Drive North, on the corner of E. 66th Street, is another eye-pleaser.

At one point in our travels, a flock of wild parrots on a telephone pole drew our gaze. They flew away before we could snap a good photo.

Anyway. One of these non-waterfront houses recently changed hands — for $1 million more than it had commanded seven years earlier.

We’re talking about 2312 E. 63rd St., purchased in August for $1.625 million by husband and wife Konstantin Vaizman and Irina Cherepashinskaya Vaizman, city Finance Department records indicate.

The sellers, Robert and Zhanna Forkosh, had bought the property for $625,000 in 2008, Finance Department records show. Later Robert filed plans with the city Buildings Department to have the house renovated and enlarged. The construction work is ongoing, we noticed when we went to visit.

Numerous houses on the inland streets are on the sale market. For instance:

* Spire Group has the listing for 312 Mayfair Drive North. The asking price is $2.295 million. The house is being enlarged and renovated, a Buildings Department permit indicates.

Igor Nestor’s name is on the Buildings Department paperwork. He and his wife Slava Nestor bought the house for $875,000 in a 2014 estate sale, Finance Department records indicate.

* In July, Curbed.com spotlighted 6,300-square-foot 2304 E. 66th St. in its “Monday Mansion” feature. The asking price is $3.599 million.

About a decade ago, Yury Kanfer had the new-from-the-ground-up house built and a swimming pool, too, Buildings Department records indicate. According to Finance Department records, he and his wife Olga Kanfer have owned the property since 1994.
