Brooklyn Today
ON THIS DAY IN 1912, the Brooklyn Daily Eagle published an article titled “Admits 3 Murders; Won’t Give His Name.”
The article focused on a self-proclaimed “wealthy and maniacal” man who anonymously admitted to a crime spree via a postcard.
“The murder of the Josephs boy, whose entire body in badly decomposed fragments was found today in a cesspool near his home in Lackawanna after a search of over a year, is believed by the police to be but one of a long series of similar crimes committed throughout the country by the man,” the Eagle reported.
