A firetruck became mired in an enormous sinkhole that suddenly opened under its wheels at Linden Blvd. and Rockaway Parkway in Brownsville Tuesday morning, sending two firefighters to the hospital.
An FDNY spokesperson told the Brooklyn Eagle that the sinkhole appeared at 1235 Linden Blvd., directly in front of Brookdale Hospital.
The injured firefighters, working out of Canarsie-based Engine Co. 257, suffered minor injuries. They were sent to Kings County Hospital for treatment.
