Rhapsody Players to perform annual concert at Saint Patrick Academy
In what has become a much-anticipated annual event, The Rhapsody Players are returning to perform at Saint Patrick Catholic Academy, located on the corner of Fourth Avenue and 97th Street in Bay Ridge. This year’s fundraiser will take place Saturday, Nov. 5 at 7:30 p.m. All proceeds from the concert will go toward benefitting the school.
The Rhapsody Players are a group of talented vocalists and musicians who were brought together by group founder John Heffernan. They perform some of the most beloved pop and rock songs from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s — everything from Burt Bacharach, the Beatles and the Bee Gees to Motown classics and soft-rock favorites by The Mamas & the Papas.
Group members are Heffernan, Anthony Marino, Colleen Martin O’Donnell, Kevin Sweeney, Donna Heffernan, Bernard Smith and Kiernan Hamilton. The singers will also be accompanied by a six-piece band. Saint Patrick’s own Connor Mayrose will once again be a guest vocalist.
