The 40-year-old boyfriend of a deceased New Jersey woman was formally charged with murder, desecration of human remains, hindering apprehension, using a stolen credit card and stalking on Wednesday in Superior Court in Bergen County, N.J.

Assistant District Attorney Demtra Maurice told the courtroom that Raphael Lolos had stalked his girlfriend, Jennifer Londono, for several weeks before killing her and throwing her remains into the Hudson River.

Between June 13 and 25 Lolos had “engage[d] in a course of conduct directed at Jenny Londono that would cause a reasonable person to fear for her safety,” said Maurice.

Lolos was arrested on July 6 at a motel in Linden, N.J.

Lolos did not enter a plea, and he is scheduled to return to court on Monday for a detention hearing.

Londono’s butchered and decomposed torso was found floating off the shoreline of Red Hook on June 27.

A couple walking their dog initially spotted the torso floating in the vicinity of Gowanus Bay and Buttermilk Channel, police sources said.

On July 1, a jogger discovered a leg and a foot with pink toenails near the West 79th Street Boat Basin on the Upper West Side. The body parts were later linked to Londono, according to NorthJersey.com.

The 31-year-old victim was last seen on June 25 closing the Luna Lounge, the bar where she worked.

NYPD released a photo of a tattoo found on Londono’s right hip on June 28.

The tattoo is written in Sanskrit and means “Lily” or “Lilyann,” NYPD officials said.

Londono’s mother confirmed with police officers that the tattoo found on the hip matches that of her daughter. The art was a tribute to Londono’s late aunt.

Friends and family of Londono held a vigil for her on July 3 complete with candles, flowers and photos of their then-missing friend.

Lolos became the only suspect in the case after a cadaver dog, which is trained to find the scent of decomposing human flesh, found traces of the victim’s blood in Lolos’ bathtub.
