NEPAL — Women Wait to Enter Temple: Nepalese Hindu women stand in a queue to enter Pashupatinath temple to offer prayers during Teej festival celebrations in Kathmandu on Thursday. During the festival, Hindu women observe a day-long fast and pray for their husbands and for a happy married life. Those who are unmarried pray for a good husband.

CANADA – Floating Iceberg: An iceberg floats past Bylot Island in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago, Monday. Icebergs aren’t sea ice, despite being best known for floating about the ocean. They are actually chunks of glaciers that have broken off at the water’s edge. Since glaciers are made from freshwater and compacted over dozens if not hundreds of years, icebergs are naturally among the hardest types of ice a ship might encounter. 

SPAIN – Candle-lit Vigil: People stand next to candles and flowers placed on the ground for the victims of an attack that left many killed and wounded in Barcelona, Spain, Wednesday. Police in northeastern Spain said Wednesday they have found a belt charged with real explosives in a house used by the Barcelona attacks extremist cell.

NEW YORK – New Galaxy Note: This photo, shows a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and accompanying stylus on display, in New York. Samsung is trying to move past last year’s explosive Galaxy Note 7 launch with a successor sporting a dual-lens camera, animated messages, expanded note-taking and lower battery capacity. The Galaxy Note 8 will go on sale Sept. 15, 2017.
