A penthouse now under construction at Quay Tower, one of the luxury condo high-rises under construction at Pier 6 in Brooklyn Bridge Park, is now in contract for more than $22 million. If the deal closes, it will be the most expensive home in the borough, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The reported price of the unit is $22.75 million, according to Andrew Anderson of Douglas Elliman Development Marketing. The unit was originally intended to be two penthouses, but it is being turned into one large 7,433-square-foot home with a 1,179-square-foot terrace.

Anderson wouldn’t identify the buyer, but he did say it’s a New Yorker who works in the financial services industry.

The current record in Brooklyn was set by the $15.5 million sale of a townhouse in Cobble Hill in 2015, the Journal reported.
