Crown Heights mural highlights mental health
The city’s Health Department is sponsoring a mural in Crown Heights as well as two others in the Bronx designed to support people struggling with mental health, according to amNewYork.
The murals were designed by local artists who have dealt with or are currently suffering from mental health conditions. “By supporting people with mental health conditions and strengthening the bonds within our communities, the NYC Mural Arts Project is part of the city’s effort to bring neighborhoods together and change the conversation around mental health,” said Health Commissioner Dr. Mary Bassett. The Brooklyn mural will be located on Park Place and Troy Avenue.
