Prospect-Lefferts Gardens residents are searching for Pompom, a chicken who flew her rooftop coop Sunday night after a storm damaged her cage. The one-year-old Polish bantam was one of three belonging to owners Tom Wilson and Anastasia Page, according to Patch.

“For Ana, the sky is falling,” Wilson told Patch. “We’ve raised them from a day old, and they are much beloved.” Pompom was seen on Monday morning at Lenox Road near Flatbush Avenue by neighborhood resident Erika Bruchhausen, who posted photos of the bird on Facebook and called it “a chicken with a fabulous mop of blond feathers.” However, Pompom hasn’t been seen since then. Residents are hoping there’s been no fowl play, and the chicken will soon be back where it belongs.
