Jersey man gets 22 years after killing girlfriend when she told him to move out
They met online and dated on and off for three years before moving in together. But when she told him to move out, the 55-year-old boyfriend lashed out and fatally stabbed his girlfriend in her home. He’s now serving 22 years in prison.
Supreme Court Justice Danny Chun sentenced Arthur Wyche to 22 years in prison on Wednesday after the New Jersey man pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter for killing his girlfriend Dorina Webster, 53, according to a statement from the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office.
“This defendant responded to a woman’s rejection with rage and brutality, then left her to die. He has now been held responsible for his actions,” District Attorney Eric Gonzalez said in the statement. “My office will continue to vigorously prosecute all instances of intimate partner violence.”
