Iceland’s Bjork, a resident of Brooklyn Heights, grabs Grammy nomination

Icelandic rock singer Bjork, who has owned a $4.2 million, four-bedroom penthouse on Henry Street in Brooklyn Heights since 2009,  was nominated for a Grammy Best Alternative Music Album for her 2011 album “Biophilia.” The album also received a Grammy nomination for Best Recording Package.

Bjork has released 10 CDs and also starred in the 2000 film, “Dancer in the Dark,” about a woman who is slowly going blind. She also has won four MTV awards and three UK Music awards.

She shares her Heights penthouse with her partner, sculptor and artist Matthew Barney.
