Park Slope Brownstone’s no longer in the pink
The new owners of the infamous “pink house” at 233 Garfield Place have covered the four-story home with brown primer, according to the New York Post. The Post quotes Jeanne Acetta, half of the couple who recently bought the home, as saying, “Every neighbor we’ve encountered is happy to see the pink finally gone.” The previous owner, retired tailor Bernard Henry, claimed that he accidentally painted the home its trademark Pepto-Bismol pink in the 1960s after he bought the wrong color paint.
