Sandy forces theater troupe to move
If the members of Narrows Community Theater could talk to Hurricane Sandy, they would tell the horrible hurricane that they’re not, “Crazy for You.”
The massive storm forced the performing troupe to move out of the theater where it had planned to present “Crazy for You,” a musical comedy featuring songs by George and Ira Gerswin.
Narrows Community Theater had planned to perform their shows at the theater at the Fort Hamilton Army Base, but when the fort needed the theater as a staging area for emergency supplies for hurricane victims, the intrepid performers agreed to move out on Nov. 5.
