Regina Myer Joins Chamber Panel on Sustainable Brooklyn
METROTECH — Another featured speaker — Regina Myer, president of the Brooklyn Bridge Park Corp. — has joined the list of those who will explore Brooklyn’s sustainable past and future at a panel discussion on Thursday, April 26, hosted by the Real Estate and Development (RED) Committee of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce.
Titled “Brooklyn: The Future Is Sustainable,” the event will focus on building projects relying on renewable energy technologies — from wind- and solar-powered lighting to geothermal heat — at sites like the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Brooklyn Bridge Park and Broadway Stages.
In addition to Myer, the featured speakers will include Andrew Kimball, president of the Brooklyn Navy Yard; Scot Medbury, president of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden; John Salmon, director of business development for Solar Energy Systems; and Dr. Gerry Gorman, COO of LumiSolair.
