Brooklyn feels the love as Hip-Hop Festival draws to a close
The gritty beat of hip-hop reverberated across the Brooklyn Heights Promenade on Saturday as the Eighth Annual Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival turned Pier 3 of Brooklyn Bridge Park into a Leaders of the New School reunion. Headliner Busta Rhymes performed with friends in a crowd-pleasing, old-school walk down memory lane.
“We come every single year, and we’ve never been disappointed,” said Benjamin Para, who traveled to Brooklyn from New Jersey. “Every year there’s a great lineup.”
“There’s always a good vibe, all love here,” added his wife Cara Para.
