Neufeld, Rice to speak at LIU Post
Brooklyn attorney Peter Neufeld and Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice, who started her career in the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, will be among the speakers this fall at the Provost Distinguished Lecture Series at LIU Post, one of the two main campuses of Long Island University (the other being LIU Brooklyn).
Established in 2008, the series at the Brookville, Long Island, campus features prominent leaders and thinkers who share their experiences and expertise on topics of interest to the community – many of them law- and government-related.
On Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 12:30 p.m., political strategists Arthur “Jerry” Kremer and Michael Dawidziak will serve on a panel discussion titled, “LIU Votes: The Presidential Race,” moderated by LIU Post Political Science Professor Stanley Klein. The panel will address the presidential race with a focus on the economy, energy, student loans and other current issues. Dawidziak was a consultant to George H.W. Bush’s 1988 and 1992 presidential campaigns. Kremer served in the New York State Assembly for 23 years and chaired the powerful Ways and Means Committee.
