Chicken kerfuffle has Park Slope aflutter
The fate of eight chickens being temporarily housed in a Park Slope neighborhood garden is on hold for two weeks while the gardeners mull over neighbors’ complaints.
Roughly four dozen residents demanded on Sunday the gardeners get rid of the hens because they squawk and may attract rodents, the New York Daily News reported. Lisa Bloodgood, a representative from Councilman Steve Levin’s office was brought in to facilitate the meeting.
“We need to figure out this chicken situation,” she told the crowd.
