Actor and comedian Anthony Anderson set to host EDCSPIN’s annual Vision & Voice gala
Actor and comedian Anthony Anderson, who stars in NBC’s hit comedy “Guys with Kids,” and in over 20 films including Me, Myself and Irene and Barbershop, will serve as the master of ceremonies at the Evelyn Douglin Center for Serving People In Need, Inc.’s (EDCSPIN) annual Vision & Voice gala, “An Evening of Respite” on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at City Winery in Manhattan. More than 200 guests will be treated to a night of comedy, raffles, dancing, and heartwarming anecdotes. Music will be provided by the legendary DJ Wiz, of Kid N Play fame.
EDCSPIN serves individuals and their families of all backgrounds in New York who are mentally and intellectually disabled. Proceeds from the gala will support EDCSPIN’s Respite Program, which provides family members of individuals with developmentally disabilities “respite” – where they enjoy a night out at a movie, or attend a wedding, while EDCSPIN provides care for their loved ones.
