Savino urges Dems to vote with Working Families Party
State Sen. Diane Savino, a member of the senate’s Independent Democratic Conference, spent the last day before Election Day urging New York City voters to vote for the Democratic Party ticket, but on a different line on the ballot.
Savino (D-Coney Island-Bensonhurst-Staten Island) issued a statement calling on voters to vote for Bill de Blasio (mayor), Letitia James (public advocate) and Scott Stringer (comptroller) on the Working Families Party (WFP) line.
“As an early supporter of the Working Families Party and a member of the New York State Senate’s Independent Democratic Conference, I have always believed that voters should have choice,” Savino stated.
