Bill Says No: De Blasio rules out bid on 2024 Olympics
Mayor Bill de Blasio has ruled out making a bid to host the 2024 Olympic Games.
Alicia Glen, deputy mayor for housing and economic development, told the Wall Street Journal the mayor made the decision after weighing the pros and cons of hosting the event.
De Blasio previously has expressed little interest in hosting the Olympics. But earlier this month, he said he would work with Gov. Andrew Cuomo if a bid was planned.
