St. Francis to house Arthur Miller centennial celebration
Three Days of Miller Experts, Playwrights, Drama Critics, Performances
Celebrating the 100th anniversary of Arthur Miller’s birth, playwrights, performers, critics and scholars will take the stage at St. Francis College (180 Remsen St.) for The Arthur Miller Centennial beginning Friday, Oct. 16 and running through Sunday, Oct. 18.
Highlighting the conference is a world premiere staged reading of a Syrian/Muslim version of “A View from the Bridge,” directed by Brooke Ciardelli (founding artistic director of Northern Stage).
Other performances include Broadway and TV actress Joan Copeland, Arthur Miller’s sister and a staged reading of “All My Sons” by “On the Verge”: The Readers Theatre Company at Ithaca College. This staging of “All My Sons” will be Sunday, Oct. 18 at 1 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
