New York Methodist Hospital welcomes new chief of thoracic surgery
Dr. Sebron Harrison recently joined the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at New York Methodist Hospital (NYM) as chief of thoracic surgery.
Board-certified in both surgery and thoracic surgery, Harrison specializes in traditional and minimally invasive procedures for the treatment of cancer and benign diseases in and around the lungs and esophagus.
“I was drawn to thoracic surgery because of my interest in lung cancer treatment,” said Harrison. “A lot of people don’t realize that lung cancer kills nearly twice as many people as breast cancer, colorectal cancer, prostate cancer and ovarian cancer combined.
