Brooklyn Museum to host sixth annual Brooklyn Artists Ball on April 20, honoring Stephanie and Tim Ingrassia
Institution's First Gala Under Anne Pasternak's Leadership
On Wednesday, April 20, the Brooklyn Museum will host the sixth annual Brooklyn Artists Ball — its yearly fundraising gala celebrating Brooklyn’s creative community — honoring Brooklyn-based art-world influencers Stephanie and Tim Ingrassia.
Those who attend the event will be the first to view a major new installation, “Tom Sachs: Boombox Retrospective, 1999-2016.” Music world game-changer and Brooklyn Museum trustee Kasseem Dean, also known as Swizz Beatz, will provide the entertainment for the Dance Party immediately following.
The much-anticipated 2016 Brooklyn Artists Ball — the first under Anne Pasternak in her role as Shelby White and Leon Levy Director of the Brooklyn Museum — will be reinvented this year by David Stark’s event design team who will transform the Beaux-Arts Court into an elegant, magical and unexpected environment, and will feature many new artist-inspired surprises for guests.
