Intermediate School Students Beat Police Officers at Basketball
It was a remarkable match-up that pitted some of New York’s finest against top athletic students from a prestigious Brooklyn middle school.
On Wednesday, Jan.18, Mark Twain-Intermediate School 239 hosted a basketball game between police officers from the 60th precinct and the eighth grade (8G) athletic talent students. The basketball game took place after school.
The competition was part of a planned program that captures the spirit of community outreach. Other events are being planned, including one in which the 8G competes against members from the local Fire Department.
