The 40-year-old boyfriend of a deceased New Jersey woman was formally charged with murder, desecration of human remains, hindering apprehension, using a stolen credit card and stalking on Wednesday in Superior Court in Bergen County, N.J.
Assistant District Attorney Demtra Maurice told the courtroom that Raphael Lolos had stalked his girlfriend, Jennifer Londono, for several weeks before killing her and throwing her remains into the Hudson River.
Between June 13 and 25 Lolos had “engage[d] in a course of conduct directed at Jenny Londono that would cause a reasonable person to fear for her safety,” said Maurice.
