Brooklyn man arrested for mail bombing innocent man in attempt on cop’s life
Had he gotten the right address, a Brooklyn man’s explosive package might have killed a police officer. Instead, it burned an innocent 73-year-old to death.
Victor Kingsley, 37, was arrested on Wednesday for sending a bomb to a Queens address in an attempt to kill a cop who previously arrested him, according to a criminal complaint. When the elderly George Wray opened the box near the mailbox of his building on July 28, 2017, it exploded and severely burned the majority of his body. He later died on Aug. 1.
While Wray became his unsuspecting victim, Kingsley was targeting an NYPD officer he believed to had lived at the address.
